Fox News profusely apologizes to Hillary Clinton after guest insult

Posted: 25 Nov 2018 07:39 AM PST

While all of you were busy eating a big meal with your family on Thanksgiving, Fox News was apologizing to Hillary Clinton for an insult made by a guest on one of their daytime shows.
To cut to the chase, at one point Fox News host Rick Leventhal suggested he was amazed that Hillary Clinton was still in the headlines with all that's going on in the world, referring to calls for another Clinton investigation.
At that point Turning Points USA Director of Spanish Engagement Anna Paulina said "She won't go away. She's like Herpes."

Leventhal immediately call the language inappropriate, apologized to their viewers and then nixed the segment early "because of some of the language that was used". We didn't see Paulina again.
And then after the segment was over, Fox News anchor Arthel Neville officially apologized to Hillary Clinton, pointing out that Fox News does not condone what Paulina said about the former Secretary of State.
So what do you think? Was the apology necessary or is this more evidence that BillO was right about Fox News wanting to become part of the establishment media?
"You decide."

If you’re a leftie BIGOT, it’s no problem for CNN’s Alisyn Camerota, she’ll defend you

Posted: 25 Nov 2018 07:30 AM PST

Alisyn Camerota, whose name is spelled in a dumb way, is one of the preachiest, most smug, most self-righteous of the talking heads on all of TV. She's insufferable, and if you ask me it's on purpose. She's trying to "atone" for the crime of having previously been a Fox News Channel blonde.
But that preachiness is absurdly one-sided. I mean, even for CNN, she's bad, and that's pretty bad. Which is why it's no surprise that her otherwise continuous virtue signal got interrupted on Friday when discussing known bigoted anti-Semites Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory, who hate Jews the most and Christians only slightly less, and who love, love, LOVE racist hate-mongering wanna-be terrorist Louis Farrakhan.
Camerota interviewed progressive feminist activist Teresa Shook, who founded the Women's March, regarding her denouncing of the current leadership of the march, which I told you about here at HocDeThi on Monday.
So to be clear on the stage setting, here, a liberal feminist activist who founded a major female organization denounced the leadership of her own creation because of their endorsement of hate against a minority group, and instead of praising her bravery, CNN's Camerota conducted an adversarial interview in defense of the current leadership. And why? Probably because Sarsour is Muslim and that rates higher than feminist on the "aggrieved hierarchy chart" you just know liberals like Camerota pass around and adhere to like it's the Bible. Oops, sorry, I meant Koran.
It starts out hostile from the get, with Camerota demanding to know what she's "accusing" Sarsour of.
I won't bother with the transcript (you can find it at Newsbusters), because Camerota's activist hostility on behalf of Sarsour speaks for itself.
Sorry Shook, but you lost this round of the popular game show 'Intersectionality" airing daily on CNN. Better luck next time. Maybe try to find an air time that doesn't have Sarsour's hitwoman in the driver's seat.
Oh wait, I forgot, Sarsour doesn't think women should drive. In the anchor's chair, we'll say.

Fuel and Tax protests in France get NUTS and devolve into vandalism, tear gas, violence and water cannons

Posted: 25 Nov 2018 07:19 AM PST

Crazy video and photos out of France today as the protests over high fuel prices turned violent. Cops brought out the water cannons and tear gas. No grape shot, yet, but we'll see what happens.
Over 5,000 protesters converged on the Champs-Elysées. And you can see in the videos and photos below it got out of hand fast. The precipitating factor is taxes on diesel, but the riots obviously represent a larger expression of the national id, a primal scream against the consequences of Macron's liberal government. People have to pay more, they live less safely, the face of the nation is changing under mass immigration and authorities petrified of being labeled racist.
But mainly it's the money concerns, because that's honestly where most people have their breaking point. And I do mean "most", as it turns out that the protesters have over 80% approval in the nation, much higher (three times more) than Macron himself.

Four months in jail for possession of COTTON CANDY? It happened in Georgia

Posted: 25 Nov 2018 07:13 AM PST

A woman in Georgia is suing after she spent almost four months in jail for possession of cotton candy. She's suing the county, the two arresting officers, and the maker of the test kit they used that identified the cotton candy as methamphetamine.
Dasha Fincher says after her New Year's Even arrest in 2016, she missed out on her life. A million dollar bond was set for possession and intent to distribute the cotton candy, and it wasn't until almost four months later that the GBI finally returned the lab results clearing her name. No meth.
Lotta folks over here on the right could take or leave John Stossel, in fact seems like a lot would be happy to leave him, but I think he's got a point here.

Apple is restarting production of the iPhone X because the XS and XS Max are not selling well

Posted: 25 Nov 2018 06:56 AM PST

The holiday season is not looking up for Apple.

The tech giant is resuming production of the iPhone X due to poor demand for its iPhone XS and XS models, a report from The Wall Street Journal says.

The XS and XS Max, both latest models from the Cupertino giant, released in September and have received generally favorable reviews across the board. But, it appears that now the newest iPhones aren't flying off the racks as Apple originally projected.

This latest development comes after a report revealing that Apple has cut production for its new phones: The XS, XS Max, and XR. The "affordable" XR took the biggest hit with cuts happening twice over two months.

Anyway, the decision to kickstart iPhone X production is allegedly due to an ongoing agreement Apple made with Samsung for OLED screens. Another factor, according to the WSJ, is because the iPhone X's parts are older and hence making it cheaper to manufacture, as compared to, say, the XS.

But hey, Apple is still one of the richest companies in the world, having achieved US$1 trillion market cap in August (although it lost the spot later).

What's the worry?
